Where is Suluada?
Suluada is located within the borders of Adrasan, connected to Kumluca, 95 km from Antalya. Suluada is approximately 4 nautical miles (7-8 km) from Adrasan beach and the boat ride takes about 40 minutes.
How to get to Suluada? The answer is simple: with our daily boat tours departing from Adrasan. Also known as the Adrasan boat tour, this is the only way to reach the island, there is no road access. We operate daily between April and November, departing at 09:45 and returning at 17:00.
Suluada Boat Tour Stops
American Bay
Our boat first heads from Adrasan beach to American Bay. During the Cold War era (1960s-70s), American naval ships anchored in this bay for crew swimming and rest breaks, giving the bay its name. This bay is 2 nautical miles from Adrasan Beach and is on the route to Suluada. We take our first swimming break of about 1 hour here. With its crystal-clear blue sea, this bay is a perfect and calm starting point.
Our captain may also stop at nearby quiet bays such as Crying Cave or Karatas Cliff depending on boat traffic conditions.
Suluada Love Beach
After warming up at American Bay, we set off for the island. We arrive at Love Beach, the most famous spot with its pure white sands, in a 15-minute journey. With its snow-white sand and Maldives-like turquoise sea, this beach is perfect for snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. Guests can sunbathe on the beach or on the sun loungers on the upper deck of our boat.
After approximately 1.5 hours at Love Beach, we move on to West Beach on the other side of the island.
West Beach
Also known as the "back beach" by locals, this beach directly catches the western breeze in the afternoon, offering wonderful refreshment during summer months. Here too, snow-white sands and a perfectly turquoise blue sea await us. Do not forget to bring your snorkeling gear.
During our break at West Beach, we serve lunch prepared on board.
Lunch on the Boat
For lunch, we serve our guests 2 main course options and appetizers. The lunch menu includes chicken schnitzel or fresh sea bass/sea bream, accompanied by pasta, seasonal salad, greens, pickles, olive oil dishes and bread.
Drinks are available from our boat's bar. Our special recommendation: try the freshly squeezed pomegranate or orange juice!
Suluada Caves
The caves on the south side of Suluada are one of the areas we visit but do not take a swimming break, as the area has strong currents. This is also a habitat for endangered Mediterranean seals. If you are lucky, you might spot them!
This area offers incredible photo opportunities. Many of the stunning Suluada photos you see on the internet and social media are taken right here. We make a short stop for photos before continuing.
Suluada Fresh Water Spring
This is the place that gave Suluada its name. Despite being 4 nautical miles from the mainland, the island has a fresh water spring. That is why it is called "Suluada" (Water Island). The journey from the caves area takes about 10 minutes.
After our boat anchors near the spring, guests who wish can fill their water bottles from the source. Some legends say this water has healing properties.
We take a 45-minute swimming break here. Since this is a deep-water area, non-swimmers can request life jackets from the crew. This spot is also excellent for deep water solo climbing enthusiasts, as well as snorkeling and freediving with its rich underwater life.
Adrasan Lighthouse Bay
Lighthouse Bay is located 1 nautical mile from Adrasan beach. The Adrasan coastline has been an active maritime route since the Lycian era. In ancient times, fires and lights were lit in this area to guide ships. The lighthouse that gave the bay its name still stands in the area.
We have a 45-minute break here where guests can swim or relax on the upper deck cushions. Non-swimmers need not worry, there are plenty of life jackets and swimming noodles on board for everyone.
On the way to Lighthouse Bay, we serve tea, biscuits and seasonal fruits. These refreshments are included in the Suluada boat tour price.
